Emily (they/them) is a seasoned facilitator and program manager with a track record of facilitating engaging and impactful meetings, workshops, and retreats. They specialize in skillfully guiding teams through challenging conversations, complex projects, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives. Emily's diverse experience spans public and private sectors, including public transit, the aerospace industry, and higher education.
Driven by a passion for simplifying processes and enabling high workplace performance, Emily has developed expertise in Scrum Agile and Lean process improvement. Additionally, Emily has led workplaces towards better knowledge sharing and more consistent practices by establishing multiple communities of practice, including an Agile-focused CoP at Boeing and the Project Management Learning Community at Sound Transit.
Emily is deeply committed to fostering psychological safety within workplaces, particularly in spaces of connection/disconnection, such as meetings and workshops. Their training in various facilitation styles, including Gracious Space, anti-oppressive facilitation, and Liberating Structures, empowers them to create inclusive and engaging environments. Emily finds joy in mentoring others to host effective meetings, recently designing and co-leading a 6-week cohort-based training to support facilitators in leading more purposeful and impactful gatherings.
